There have been several great dorms built since I left. The crime was somewhat of a concern because of the schools location (PG County). I never felt in danger, but I could understand if someone else did. The College Park area is not a true college town being so close to DC. But in the last few years there have been a whole bunch of new restaurants and a new bar that opened.
