I never lived on campus but there are some new dorms that remind me of
marriott courtyards. There are numerous clubs and organizations to get
involved with. There is a student group for just about every
nationality. Also, there are two gyms both of which are 10x better than
any gym you can get a memebership to.
The only negative aspect of UMCP is the occasional thug who wonders onto
campus to frat row. But those incidents are rare and are probably
statistically the same as any other school near a metropolitan area.
