Only the newest dorms are nice in any sense of the word. The campus is beautiful, though it has its issues with safety. The facilities at UF are very good, there are many different gyms, fitness centers, etc. Because of the size of the city, and its residents, great restaurants in Gainesville are few and far in between. The restaurants considered the best in gainesville are overrated. However, there are plenty of good restaurants for the college student.
