My only experience with career searching at DU was in finance. Unfortunately,
they do not do a good job of recruiting top name finance companies (unless you
want to be a broker - even then, there are not a lot of choices). The career
fair does not have a lot of selection, but there is some diversity. A few
engineering possibilities, some commercial banks (management trainee programs),
one or two law firms, a couple marketing opportunities and sometimes a consulting
firm. There are a lot of volunteer groups that recruit there as well. However,
you can make decent opportunities for yourself at DU because of the network the
professors can provide and the internship network the career center has. Also,
the accounting program (part of the Daniels College of Business) gets recruited
from heavily. Ernst & Young, Deloitte, KPMG, PWC and others hold banquets,
dinners and events with all the accounting majors. If you are interested in
accounting/auditing, there is ample opportunity.
