Academics Survey |
| Undergraduate Full Time |
There are a wide range of academic opportunities here -- the rigor of
your experience is really up to you. Class sizes will vary according to
your major. Some of the large, intro-level lectures are actually worth
it because of the quality of the professors.
Most Professors are very actice researchers which presents some
difficulty for undergrads.
If you are worried about the quality of academics here, I have a point
to make. Many students here don't put much effort into classes and don't
pursue opportunies to work with their Professors on research, etc. But
this gives students who DO CARE about these things an opportunity to
receive a lot of attention from the faculty. For example, if you want to
write an undergraduate thesis or take honors classes, you will be
intellectually rewarded.
