For example, the great border region of San Diego and Tijuana, Hillcrest, Old Town San Diego, Downtown and the historic Gaslamp quarter, Torrey Pines State Park and beach, public beaches in La Jolla, Del Mar, Encinitas (with great surfing), and Mission Bay (with an aquatics center affiliated with UCSD). If life on UCSD gets boring, there are also two other colleges in San Diego that host a variety of activities.
