It is within walking distance (1-2 miles) of the beach and is very safe. On campus housing is plentiful, but is limited to the first two years. Campus food is standard (not good or bad). Housing off campus is also plentiful. Parking, however, is difficult, but has been recently aleviated by the construction of a new parking structure. RIMAC, the sports facility, provides a good workout facility. The campus is very large, so you do not feel like you are hemmed in.
