I believe this is due to the fact that they are paired up with the school's co-op program. This may not seem like a bad idea but it is when the school's incentive is to look for quantity not quality, as well they tend to seek out Co-op jobs first because then the school gets $$$, the school makes no $$$ for career-type jobs. I found websites like Vault and Wetfeet a more helpful career centre than I did my own schools'. Campus recruiting is a joke. Only a handful of companies even bother to come the school, where as the University of Calgary which is only a few hours away attracts many great organizations like Proctor and Gamble and McKinsey and Company.
