When I was a student, I was Greek and about 40% of the undergraduate
population was Greek. I was also a member of the student government
and the student activities made available on campus was varied for all
tastes. Football games were played at the Superdome and although we
would never fill out the stadium, it was pretty unique to see your
college football team play in a NFL stadium. There is a lot of social
activity outside of campus that includes the bar and restaurant scene.
There is a price threshold for all. Overall, it was a good quality of
life that included strong academics.
