Social life is one of the key selling points of Tufts. It does have
something for everyone. If you're looking to party every night, then
you can do that, or if you're looking to party only on weekends, that is
just as good. People at Tufts are very accepting of whatever route you
choose. There is a pretty good party scene on and around campus,
serviced by fraternities and house parties. Nearby Davis Sq., Medford
Sq., Harvard Sq., and Boston itself, all provide great bars,
restaurants, and clubs to go to. The Greek system is relatively small,
with only about 10% participation, and there isn't a large dichotomy
between greek and non-greek. IN terms of clubs, there is absolutely
something for everyone, and then some. If your interest hasn't been met
(and I find it probably impossible that it hasn't), then it is very easy
to start up a club of your own. The Leonard Carmichael Society is the
school's largest student organization, which heads many community
service activities for those interested.
