Quality of Life Survey
Full-Time Undergraduate Program In general, Tufts is in a fairly safe neighborhood. It is not necessarily the greatest place to live in the world, but there is no reason to feel unsafe. There are very few incidents invovling either students, or people who live in the area. Tufts sits on the border of Medford and Somerville, and does a lot to reach out to the community. In Somerville, in an area called Davis Sq., which is within walking distance, there is subway station, which provides quick and easy access to all points in Boston. Davis Sq. itself is becoming one of the coolest places to hang out in the Boston area, and over the course of the past few years, there has been a influx of new business, and there is a good restaurant and bar scene. Davis Sq. is also becoming more and more gentrified, which is bringing in more and more quality businesses.
