Although I feel like the program did prepare me well for a career in the
analytical aspects, I had no real practical knowledge. Too much focus was placed
on theory and not enough placed on practical applications of our knowledge.
Tufts career services are incredibly helpful, but they still do not have the
recruiting like at other schools of our caliber. I got a job a few months after
graduation, but not in the field that I wanted. Alumni are typically not too
helpful, but then again, when I graduated the economy was really, really bad.
Tufts did offer winternships (an intership over winter break) that was really
neat to do. I was also able to get an intership though the Tufts Career website
that was a great learning experience. Although I was not hired back full time,
it was one of the best working/learning environments that I have ever been in.
