Social Life Survey
Full-time undergraduate program A lot of socializing happened in one's dorm, although various departments also organized events on campus, such as conferences with world renown political figures or academics or concerts. If you come from a large city, however, it might be a bit frustrating for you not to find the diverse range of cultural entertainment you might have been used to back home, but San Francisco is only a 40 minute trip away. Favorite activities for students included the "Big Game" (annual football game between Stanford and Berkeley) and Sunday night "flicks" (movie night). The Greek system used to be active when I was there, and they organized a number of parties on campus, including the "Exotic- Erotic ball" (a party where the concept appeared to be the less you were dressed, the more fun you had!).
