Smith is all girls, and do not underestimate the social implications of
that. If you are not a lesbian, dating options are limited. Student
government tries to be active but usually doesn't wind up doing much.
There is no Greek system. Rec Council sometimes puts on big concerts
such as Counting Crows. Northampton is a very "alternative" town with
lots of bars, restuarants, and expensive little stores. In practice, if
you don't have a car, "real" shopping (wal mart, supermarket, etc) can
be complicated, but you can take the bus.
