The dorms are great. I had a big single all 4 years. Food is also
excellent. Hardly anyone lives off campus, both because the dorms are
awesome and because you have to give a "good" reason why you need to
live off campus in order to get permission (such as being married,
having children, or living with your parents). They make a big deal out
of safety but it is not a dangerous area and I never heard of any crimes
other than graffiti while I was there. Sometimes there is racial
tension. I have not seen the new campus center but it is supposed to be
beautiful and I'm sure it has really enhanced life on campus. It is hard
to have a car at Smith because there is virtually nowhere to park it.
