The fraternities and sororities lined up on University and allowed anyone to walk into a party on any given Saturday night. Since TJ was not that far away, those that were under 21 were just 30 minutes from an all night party (since TJ never closes). Downtown had city clubs that compared to trendy LA without the huge crowds. Also sports fans could always attend a bar that would cater to their favorite team.
