Housing on campus is definitely improving!!! The dorms got a much
needed face-lift by the time I left and new housing has been created in
an effort to deter students from living in alternative housing, such as
those on south campus. North campus is extremely quiet and was ranked
#1 in NY for overall safety and least crimes committed (a STARK
contrast to south campus, where all the greeks live and crime is
rampant). The facilities are overall good, with many computer labs
accessible all over campus. Recently our school ranked top 10 in most
wired universities by Yahoo, and you will find that pretty much
anywhere you go with a wireless card on your laptop, you will get the
internet. Major initiatives to improve North Campus are being
undertaken including an underground tunnel to link the dorms to the
school and a shopping center/mall on campus.
