I don't remember exactly what the process was back in 1982. I remebr I
filled out all parts of the application. I had also taken the SAT--
where I was in the middle of the pack. My grades were around 85-90 in
the high school. I also wrote an essay. I only applied to state
colleges due to their lower tuition and expenses. I am also an Indian
(form India). There were no interviews. I din't know that much about
selectivity because I was not a very informed high school student. The
Guidanc eCounselors were also not that useful in my high school. My
high was of mixed population.
