Lots of bars! I went to the bars before I went to the school as did many
others and after you graduate people ALWAYS come back for the bars. My
sister is 36 and when her college friends come to town they'll say "let's
meet at Clyde's! or Old Man Rafferty's" the old hangouts like they never
left. Sort of like a Bruce Springsteen song. Events: I went to poetry
readings 3-5 times a semester which were pretty accessible in the student
centers. That's all I did. I ate at student hangouts, anything under $5
usually pizza and burritos, but they do have more stuff for people with
more money. Santa Fe Burrito and Thomas Sweets are my favorite places.
Cafe 52 or Starbucks or Au Bon Pain for coffee. And THE MELODY for
Budweisers. I used to LOVE that bar. Clyde's is a martini bar. there's
pretty much a bar on every corner. The food court in the student center
has a Wendy's so I also went there because it was next to the gym (which
was free) and I did my homework there alot and also slept there. Lots of
commuting students hang out there. It's huge and the ceilings are like
30 feet high so you never feel boxed in.
