Rutgers is mostly a commuter school. as far as housing goes, the on-
campus housing is pretty crappy, but as a freshman it is better to live
in the on-campus housing so that you can meet people and make friends.
after that, i would advise living off-campus. there are a ton of
apartments in close walking distance to the main campus. The
facilities are nice at rutgers. the library is very big, the gyms are
excellent, the student centers and computer labs are also very good.
as far as the dining halls go, i equate that to prison food. as far as
the neighborhood goes, rutgers campus is safe, but go down a few blocks
and you're in downtown New Brunswick, where boarded uo crackhouse are
common and liquor-stores are rampant.
