A few blocks from the University, crime is an issue. The dining did a
great job at making sure I gained that freshman 15. The administration
needs work. Rutgers is a very large school and sometimes you can be sent
on a wild goose chase going from one campus to another to get paperwork,
pay parking tickets, etc. The good thing is that you can register for
classes online now. Parking at Rutgers is horrendous!! If you are a
commuter, beware! Read all parking signs thoroughly, and don't take
chances parking in an illegal spot. I had to pay a $100 parking ticket
at Rutgers. Ouch! I was a resident advisor at Rutgers and know first
hand that the student life association is fantastic. And Rutgers has
other schools contact them for tips on fire prevention in the dorms.
Every piece of furniture in the dorm is fire-resistant and every smoke
detector is tested every month.
