Rule number one is apply as early as possible, even if you are merely
weighing the idea of coming here. Penn State uses rolling admissions,
so the sooner the better. The application is easy and a personal
statement is optional. No interviews. Come over the summer or the
semester before you apply to meet some faculty and take a tour of the
place...to learn about the school and have them learn about you! The
rate of admission is not growing fast enough to keep up with the
gorwing number of applicants, so it is getting more selective every
year.
