From Friday to Saturday night, State College represent Animal House.
If you are looking for intellectual conversations and Tolkien
Societies, you shouldn't come to this school. If you don't drink
youself to near death and sleep with just about everyone you can, you
probably won't have a lot of friends, and will be something of a social
outcast. People are mad for beer, that is all they talk about - about
how much they can drink - about how much they threw up last night, etc.
etc., it really gets old, and the University does NOTHING to try and
stop it. Considering that all people do is get drunk and party, the
bar/club scene is very good, and Greeks rule the school. A popular
frat on campus is KDR, and just about any bar or club located on
College Ave. is a hot spot to go to. If you aren't into any of this,
which few people aren't, you can join one of the hundreds of clubs
located on campus. Many people meet dates while partying, so once
again, if you dont go out and get drunk, you will be out of the social
and dating loop. Many people are very serious when it comes the
activities that go on in the clubs, so you find non-Animal House
activities there. There is a club for just about every interest,
major, and race.
