With regards to the process of getting my credits transferred and being accepted, it was fairly simple. Since at the time I had a 3.7 GPA, they even offered me the Dean's Scholarship of approximately $3K which helped a bit. I did not have an entrance interview, nor was an essay required since I was a transfer student.
