Again, it is necessary to drive to get to bars in Pasadena, Glendale,
Hollywood, etc. There are school organized parties on campus that are
generally very well-attended. Clubs are great, and if there isn't one
in existence that interests a student, he or she can start one. The
opportunity to start a club or become an officer offers great leadership
opportunities that are unique. Likewise, with the Greek system,
students can easily be part of one of the many positions of each house,
and be supported by the 40-60 members that each house generally consists
of. I am the community service chair of one of the two local sororities
and being able to plan events and have a group of people eager to help,
has been an amazing experience in planning, and community involvement.
Dating...hm interesting. There are mixed reviews on this topic. Let me
just say that since it is a small school, things aren't usually kept
secret. Also, you can't avoid an ex, because you will probably see them
a few times each day. There are unique clubs on campus, such as Afro-
Hatian dancing, vegetarian club, etc. As I said, if you want it you can
make it happen.
