Nicholls State University is the safest university in the state of
Louisiana. We offer on-campus housing with visitation times for guests
of the residents of that particular hall. La Maison du Bayou is the new
on campus apartments that will be open in the Spring Semester '04.
Students can experience the apartment living on campus. Also, by the end
of 2004, a new campus Recreation Center will be built for the students.
We have several fraternities and sororities on campus as well. Each
spring the Greeks are dedicated a special week where they compete in
different events like tug of war, relay races, and silly games. The
week ends with Songfest, a song and dance competition between each
sorority and fraternity Chick-fil-a, a chicken resturant franchise,
just opened in our newly renovated Student Union as well as Jazzman's
Coffee, Selona Grill, and Godfather's Pizza.
