Oh, oh -- the infamous NYU parties. If only I'd be invited to them, and
they weren't being thrown by an Asian frat.
Generally you go to local bars near Union Square. But there are so many
cool things to do in NY: poetry caf??s, Museum and gallery openings,
concerts, jazz clubs, clubs, you name it pretty much it is here,
somewhere...
In summary, when you compare your NYC life (laborious, elegant,
cosmopolitan) with those of your friends, tucked away in their picture
perfect campus, you start to think, "Oh my, how... really COLLEGE-Y those
poor children have it!"
Good luck! Don't come to NYU looking for a typical college experience --
because you won't feel like a student here -- you'll feel like school is
only your day job (while at night, you are really a superhero, or a
musician, or a film critic, or an art historian, or a high-flying
lawyer...)
