Every type of club/organization available, for any taste. Greek life
isn't as important, more marginal that central because a lot of places
to go out and party in. Tons of bars around and like all college
locations, not all are strict on carding. Every type of food available
is withing walking/subway distance. Lack of school spirit/atmosphere.
Almost no one goes to sport games, more people go to the marches.
However you can eat almost every day of the week by keeping track of
what club is having what activity where. I've heard that NYU is the
second drug school in the nation, attitudes do not dispute that. Too
many people make jokes about smoking up. But if you're smart you can go
there for 4 years without trying it. Especially since the ardent pot
heads seem to lose more and more brain cells and short-term memory as
the years go by. Plenty of ways to have fun without smoking up,
unfortunately not many people realize that. Plenty religious
organizations, many of which have different degrees of orthodoxy, the
more liberal ones have more attendees.
