Admission & Application Survey |
| Full time Undergraduate |
The admissions process is exactly like any other highly competetive
school. I've noticed in the past few years that the student body has
become even more competitive and varied -- I do believe it has gotten much
harder to get in than when I applied (Winter 1999).
The greatest way to get into NYU College of Arts and Sciences is to excell
and to love what you do. You will stand out if you do a lot of clubs --
take heart -- you don't necessarily need to be an athelete (case in
point). Write an off-topic (but only slightly off-topic!!) essay, don't
be cookie cutter, and don't be afraid to say that you're an Original
Thinker (even though probably everybody says that). If you truly are, you
belong here, and it will show. And if you aren't, and you say you are,
you don't and it won't.
