New York University was one of the seven colleges that I applied to as a
senior in high school. The admissions process was very similar to the
other colleges that I considered attending (i.e. sending SAT and SAT II
scores, transcript, recommendations, etc) and their essay section was
more of a personal statement. However, when I applied to NYU, it was
neither my top choice nor my safety school. I found out in early January
that I was accepted into a specific program at NYU and went for an
interview with the Dean to consider this potential college decision.
The interview was more informal than I thought it was going to be and
was more informative about the university and program. Although it was
not my first choice- looking back on my college experience- I am glad
that I made the decision to go to NYU.
