The school provides an on-line listing of job/internship opportunities and I
think that it is pretty useful. I have attended and participated in several
career fairs and though they are tedious and impersonal, they can work. As a
freshman, I went to a hospitality career fair, submitted my resume and had it
"forwarded" to the correct marketing/PR contact. It worked! As for prestige, I
am not so sure that this is a factor, nor that it really matters. Though I have
not really used the career placement resources I know that they exist and seem
useful.
