My own career opportunities are a bit limited, as I have no degree. By finishing
this and doing well on the Fundamentals of Engineering test, I can apply for
numerous opportunities in the Mechanical engineering field that are presently
unavailable. Part of the requirements for the degree can be met via either co-op
or internships. As some of the professors within the department are part time,
they are willing to provide inside opportunities to the student that ask in terms
of, job placement and reference for a job inside the organizations they work for.
Because the campus is a multi-school campus sharing classrooms with Univ. of
Colorado and Denver Community College along with Metro, its not uncommon for a
job fair to be held about 1x per month on campus sponsored by either employers or
by the respective schools. This is in addition to an active placement center on
campus.
