Quality of Life Survey
Full-time undergraduate program Quality of life at MIT really depends on the person and where you live. Many students never see the light of day as they spend all day in labs and studying, others drink and party as much as students at any school in the country. Therefore, if you want to enjoy yourself, you can because Boston is the greatest city in the world to go to school. However, don't expect any help from the Institute. It's professors don't care about students and the administration doesn't either. For example, I hated MIT but I really enjoyed my time in college. Athletic facilities have just been remodeled and are very nice and they go along with an extensive intramurals program that has levels for all types of players. Varsity sports are not that impressive. The school is Div 3, playing local schools like Babson, Springfield and others. Attendance is low and support is lower so you play for yourself, which is tough to do when the workload is what it is.
