I graduated in 1999 at the peak of the .com boom, so companies were throwing
themselves at students. I hear that recruiting is not as easy now, but as an MIT
grad you probablly have a better shot than your technology school peers. Even in
2002 after I was laid off from one software job, I had another within 3 months -
mainly due to the caliber of my degree. You may not be the most wealthy from MIT
(wealth seems to be reserved for sales people) but you will always have work.
