The social life on campus is completely dependent on what you want to
do. We have a number of sororities and fraternies on campus, as well as
plently of clubs to become involved in. I was president of the college
television station for a year, now I am the news producer, which is
something I enjoy tremendously. I was involved in 5 other clubs
including Campus Ministry, Communication Society, Criminal Justice
Society, Intramural Volleyball and the Sailing club. I have been to
almost all the college sponsored concerts during the years (typically 3-
4 per year). We have had small bands all the way up to big names like
Michelle Branch, Everclear, Guster, Good Charlotte, Third Eye Blind,
etc. There are a lot of restaurants, including Applebees and my new
favorite Cosimos Trattoria and Bar. And speaking of Bars, we have about
7 bars everyone goes to. You really do have to be 21 to get into all
but one of them. Thankfully, drinking really isn't as important as you
might percieve it to be. I know a number of students who don't drink at
all but enjoy the nightlife just as much as everybody else. I see her
all the time at Noah's Ark, a bar in Poughkeepsie that has free wings
and pasta on Fridays from 6 to 7 and she goes there for the great food.
We all do, really. I have had the most fun here than in all my life.
