Frats used to rule the day. While still true, it is less so. If you're a
guy, there are too few women. If you're a woman, you may have to
do to much work to be an inordinate amount of fun. And if you like
drinking beers around the pool, the climate will force you to seek
refuge in the sauna. Unfortunately, if a great social life is what you
are after, consider the University of Arizona, or Florida State. If you
want a great education surrounded by serious but gregarious
peers who may even turn into great professional associates some
day, then Lafayette is for you. Of couse, if can wear tiger's stripes,
you will avoid the leopard's spots, so we all know that Lafayette will
be a compromise to Ivy League aspirants, but there is always grad
school.
