There is a co-op program. It is pretty sad. I applied for it and paid a $130
non-refundable fee. Unfortunately I didn't get a job. I applied for 20-30 jobs
and I only got three interviews. The people who were doing two of the interviews
were very unprofessional. One person even said that they were just interviewing
me to meet their quota (they normally don't hire business students, just law
students). If I had gotten a job I would have had to pay another $570.00 on top
of the $130.00. Most of the jobs were very basic and this was very disappointing
to me as I was a manager for almost two years prior to returning to school. There
are some other very small career fairs. There are very few companies there as
they basically just teach you how to network. Occasionally a large government
organization will come to the school say once a semester. They also have a
website for students for people in the community to post jobs but the quality of
jobs is so-so. This semester the HR instructor is having 3 or 4 visiting HR
professionals come to each class. This seems like a good networking opportunity.
This concept is probably the best chance at a good job that I have seen at the
school.
