There are only two bars, and they know when you are underage, so don't
even try it. Of course they will help you celebrate your 21st in fine
style and afterwards will know that your are 21 and allowed a beer.
Most of the social life revolves around a fairly relaxed Greek system
which is open to everyone. Less than half the campus is Greek, and the
College, and most of the students, would like to keep it that way. The
College provides good movies, lectures, theater and music, so it seems
there is hardly a minute free anyway. It is the sort of place where
everyone on campus will go to see the new play being produced by your
roommate or the Kokosingers in concert. Maybe because that is the
entertainment. But mostly people meet in small groups, or at the
bookstore, to drink a beer, watch some movies, talk and talk some
more. You will meet a huge number of people for such a small place,
and there are 400 newcomers every year, so plenty of new faces. Of
course, the rule about never dating anyone on your hall definately
applies because the place is so small, you'll run into them 5 times a
day after you call it quits.
