Undergrad (full-time) The housing is good, and the best part is that they "kick you off campus" after two years. This helped me learn how to deal with mundane things like electricity bills and rent way before my friends at other institutions. Plus, you have a lot more flexibility about living arrangements and locations. The campus was being torn up and renovated when I was there, but I hear that it's absolutely beautiful now. The food was awful. Downright terrible. That's probably the best perk of living off campus... Baltimore's not a safe town, but I never felt worried when I lived there. If you are smart and don't walk by yourself at night, you'll be fine. The campus is protected by Hop Cops, who are usually retired military or police officers. They were very nice, but I never felt that they were really needed on campus. Off campus is a little more dangerous (armed robberies and such), but those usually happened late at night in dark alleys.
