Indiana University offered a terrific social life, which included
football games in the fall, basketball games in the spring, Little 500
race, IU Sing, the large Greek system, the bars for those 21 and up, and
not to forget the house parties! There was always something going on
some where, so no one was ever left to just sitting home and watching
TV - there are always options for the evening any night of the week.
I was in the Greek system, so there was always a fraternity party to go
to, but I also fraternized with GDIs (g-d damn independents) and they
had some really fun parties off campus as well. After I turned 21 I
headed to the bar scene...my favorites were Nick's where we played Sink
the Bismark, BW3s where we ate tones of wings and buffalo chips with
cheese, Killroy's on Kirkwood was a standard where they had the best
Long Island ice teas in the mini pitcher, Blue Bird was great for
watching the up and coming bands before they went big time!
Overall, I had a great time at IU, met a ton of people and never had a
dull moment. Go IU!!
