Admission & Application Survey |
| Part-time undergraduate |
I filled out my application on the web site and waited to hear from the
school. After waiting several weeks and hearing nothing, I sent an email
asking the status of my application. When I heard back from them, they
finally told me they were waiting on my transcripts for classes I was
transferring from other schools. I followed up with my schools to make
sure the transcripts were sent. After waiting another couple of weeks, I
still hadn't heard anything so I sent in another email. I was then
informed they had received the transcripts from one school but were
still waiting for the information from the other. I again followed up
with the second school and contacted ISU again the following week. That
time I was told that I had been accepted. However, I was not given any
information on how to get signed up for my classes which were starting
in 2 weeks. So I sent another email and told them that I was interested
in the Distance Education program and wanted to know how to get signed
up for classes. When I heard back, I was terribly dismayed because I was
told that I would need to be on campus that Friday for a seminar.
Whereupon, I responded back that I was out of town and could not
schedule a day off work on that short of notice so was there something
else I could do - like a seminar on a Saturday or something. I was told
that I should contact the Distance Education Department that I was
interested in directly and see what could be worked out. Once I got in
touch with this department everything went as smooth as silk! I got
signed up for 2 classes (even though it was such short notice) and
things have been going great since!
