In the UK I would rate Imperial as the top university after Oxford/Cambridge. In
terms of IT jobs we are pretty highly rated. A lot of us look for jobs in the
City, with most people wanting to work in banks. Although a lot of people look to
work in IT divisions, there are quite a few who get into trading or IBD. Its hard
not to look around and not think of jobs because there are constant presentations
and career talks. It does get a bit annoying when you have other things to do
because everyone around you think a lot about their careers. The career centre is
pretty good, however I havent really been there too much. We have an excellent
finance society which has really interesting events such as trading games and
talks from ex interns and grads just telling us about what we are getting into.
