Quality of life could have definitely been better for us. One year we
were so short on housing that students were housed in two hotels away
from the campus. It was not a good experience for them, and because of
that many students left the university. We do not have enough campus
housing, and that made it so many students had to find housing that they
could barely afford elsewhere. The campus is beautiful. It is a
peaceful place that I believe held the most diverse group of
individuals, and it shows in our successes. The shcool is not located in
the best part of the country, but being near our national government
made it a little better. The facilities could have been better in my
opinion. A lot of buildings on the inside look worn ,and tired. It
seems as if someone was to blow on the structure it might fall down. It
could definitely use some work, but I believe that the university
president is working to raise money for change as I type. The dorms
could definitely be more liveable. I am not sure who passes the
university during inspection, but some things should be unacceptable.
As I said, the neighborhood is not the safest. Our campus security was
poor. They would not be there when you needed them most, and around all
of the time when you didn't. They disrespect you, and feel as through
because they are secutiry they can do that. I did not feel safe, and I
am pretty sure the situation has not changed because I have only been
out for a few months.
