Social life ... well, you work hard you play hard, but most people do
this still on campus. You can certainly get off campus and LA is close,
but there's always something going on on campus. No real Greek scene, but
lots of small parties going on most weekends (and some weeknights).
Plenty of places to eat in the neighborhoods. Try El Pavo or The Hat for
Chili Cheese Fries (great I'M SO STRESSED I WANT TO SCREAM food.)
Plenty of clubs to keep you busy, and lots of activities with the other
Claremont Colleges. You won't lack in things to do or friends to do it
with. Even though it's a small college, there is enough of a variation in
the people that you'll find friends (and it's small enough that you see
people enough to make good friends) with your tastes, etc.
Dating - what can you expect from a school with a ratio of 3 to 1 (men to
women)? It's tough for the guys and tough on the women. But people are
very respectful and there's always Scripps college right across the
street (women only).
