The social life on campus is very unique. Harvard definitely defies all
stereotypes of socially inept students who drink coffee and discuss
philosophical topics constantly. While this may be true, there are alot
of parties in upperclassmen houses and with "finals clubs." Finals
clubs act like fraternities, but there is no Greek system at Harvard
because it is not sanctioned. Many of the clubs students go to are in
downtown Boston but the city virtually closes at 1am, so many people are
deterred from going. Everyone seems to find their social niche, and
events are constantly happening so there is no excuse to not attend
any. Perhaps, the problem is that there are so many events in one
night, a student may not know which one to attend. Something is always
happening on weekend nights, and yes, Harvard has its share of drunken
revelry.
