Housing in comparison to other schools is phenomenal. Some of the
freshman dorms are very lavish and spacious, like Apley Court. Apley
Court does have a marble bathtub and walk-in closets. The food is not
stellar but is edible. The winter rotation of food has been very
unpopular and many complaints filed, but then again the dining facility
is feeding 1650 students per meal. I have noticed that there is always
some form of chicken, potatoes, and pasta in a meal. Chicken has become
the ultimate staple for the dining service. The Harvard Police Service
really do try to keep the neighborhood safe, but there are incidents of
sexual assault and theft. But because there are impoverished and
homeless people in Harvard Square, there is bound to be crime. But from
what I can tell, the local firestation and policestation respond
promptly to every call. I would know because the sirens ring all during
the night, and is somewhat detrimental to my sleep.
