| Full time undergraduate program |
As they say, Harvard, Princeton and Yale seems to be the hardest to get into.
But I wouldn't know since I just applied and got in. To be fair, I was not
your
typical undergrad student.
I was an immigrant, traveled around the world, speaks four languages and
enrolled in a two yearcollege before transferring to the Ivy league. Most of my
friends were professors and helped me navigate the admission process.
You got to have good grades but most importantly, you got to show you have
passion for something and you have spent years on it. For example, i am
interested in people and cultures--I grew up in a multiracial society, I make
an
effort to traveled around the world, in my coursework i took classes in
history,
anthropology, sociology, social studies etc. And I majored in Social Studies
with
an emphasis in American culture and history.
Admission committees are made up of people and people love a good story of
life well; that is passionate and well articulated. The test scores are the
easy
part, the essays--this is key---Ivy leagues look for people who are not only
smart
but have the ability to sell themselves. Most people who can sell themselves
are
more likely to make money and Ivy leagues loves alum that are money and fame
generator.
