Because so many students are from out of state, several activities
occur on campus, like movies, concerts and other activities. Searcy is
not quite a party town and with a school wide curfew of midnight on the
weekends, Little Rock is about the only place close enough to get to
and still be back on time. Housing is very nice, especially for the
ladies, but another frustration lies in the fact that you cannot live
off campus unless you are a 5th year student or have turned 23. Brand
new buildings are always being built to better help students, including
a state-of-the-art cafeteria, after a fire raged through ours last
spring. Neighborhood crime is minimal, although Searcy is known for
the most Meth labs I believe in the entire south.
