The selection process of admissions at Georgia Tech is known to be
fairly easy; even more if you're a Georgia resident. Like most
colleges, the best way to get into this university is by who you know.
My older sister was a student at the University and I used her name as a
reference. I think that pushed my application forward a bit. There was
no interview into getting in, and the essay question was fairly easy--
the typical broad essay question that every University questions. I
belive the selectivity has something to do with your ethnicity and
gender. I hear the admissions department is more lenient towards girls
in getting in since they want more girls to enter they're university to
make it more balanced.
