Georgia Tech is a serious engineering school with an international
faculty and student body in the middle of a large, cosmopolitan city.
If your SATs are between 650 and 750 (1300 and 1500 total) and you are
in the top 5% of your high school graduating class, you should get in.
Don't bother if your SATs are below 600 (1200 total), unless you have an
unquenchable drive to succeed or a unique, highly evolved talent in a
niche area where Georgia Tech is pushing the envelope. Georgia Tech is
known widely as "the MIT of the South" for good reason. If "good
communicator, adept at math, computer literate, practical, and
interested in human progress and service to others" describes you, you
belong at Georgia Tech.
